Amen! Praise the Great Lord of the Dark! **I agree with all points**

I am of the mind that balefire was accounted for in Moridin schemes to turn Rand to the Dark One, and his plans include using Graendal confident in her ability to survive and cause maximum emotional pain in Rand. And Graendal knew of the plans via talking with him in the Prologue, after Demandred and Mesaana left.
If she didn't die in tGS, I'm willing to bet she will die in ToM. I just don't see her battling anyone in the Last Battle.
Here is my prediction for the final showdown:
Mesaana vs Egwene (+ Vora's wand)
Demandred vs Rand (or Logain after Taim is dealt with?)
Moghedien vs Nynaeve
Cyndane vs Alivia and/or Aviendha
Halima/Aran'gar vs Caddy + circle
Padan Fain vs Mat
Moridin+DL vs Rand + Calandor + linked womenz
Wishful thinking ...
Shaidar Haran vs Bela
Cadsuane stepping on a crack and breaking her back.
Elayne vs unfortunate midwife

BOHICA - Go ahead, ask me what it means.

I think it's fair to say at this point that Graendal did not kill Asmodean.

Why has she been removed from the list of suspects?

Could it have been Verin who killed Asmodean?

She is dead *spoilers*

I thought so too, but KCF set me straight.. his response in a thread further down the board

Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer?

Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM*

That weave was very complex.

Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex.

Almost certainly dead

Not even almost. Graendal and Sammael now both go well with eggs. *NM*

Alive. It's the simplest answer for me, especially considering that Rand knew she was more cunning

Here's the rub - she had no desire to come into contact with Rand.

No, I'm making it more simple.

Yes, it does. Distance causes maintained weaves and Links to attenuate.

Yes, but Compulsion is almost never a maintained weave *NM*
