No, I'm making it more simple. RugbyPlayingAshaman Send a noteboard - 04/11/2009 11:11:36 PM
Earlier in the series: Graendal says If Rand came against me, I would either throw myself on his mercy or run away.

Later in the series: Rand channels enough of the Power to crack the earth in half.

TGS (my proposal): Rand sends messenger to Graendal. Graendal knows he has the Access Key. Graendal doesn't care what method he chooses to use to attack her - she's going to get out of Dodge.

She doesn't strike me as similar to Rahvin in that she'll remain on her throne taunting and trying to defeat the Dragon on her terms; I really think she'd be surprised he figured out where she was, hurriedly Compel Ramshala to cover her tracks, and Travel out of there. I'm saying that it severely starts to stretch the boundaries of belief that after Semi's capture, numerous deaths among the Chosen and then the Choedan Kal being successfully used that any of the Forsaken would go against Rand directly. I'm just going off of her personality characteristics here and for me, it strains credibility that she would wait around with that sort of threat on her doorstep - her M.O. has always been a lack of fear to flee if necessary; Rand wasn't supposed to find her at her headquarters. That's a big red flag tomorrow.

I think it's fair to say at this point that Graendal did not kill Asmodean. - 02/11/2009 04:36:37 AM 860 Views

Dead. - 02/11/2009 06:46:10 AM 685 Views
Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer? - 02/11/2009 07:04:08 AM 774 Views
Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM* - 02/11/2009 02:15:31 PM 345 Views

That weave was very complex. - 02/11/2009 10:34:36 PM 682 Views
Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex. - 04/11/2009 05:11:07 PM 767 Views
But you can't reverse Compulsion by unraveling it, right? - 18/11/2009 10:48:08 PM 709 Views
Almost certainly dead - 02/11/2009 04:48:18 PM 858 Views
Yeah. Compared to, say, Sammael's "death" - 02/11/2009 10:40:01 PM 760 Views
Not even almost. Graendal and Sammael now both go well with eggs. *NM* - 03/11/2009 01:51:15 AM 366 Views

Well, unlike everyone else, - 04/11/2009 01:34:57 AM 692 Views
Alive. It's the simplest answer for me, especially considering that Rand knew she was more cunning - 04/11/2009 05:03:38 PM 856 Views

Hm. Possible. - 04/11/2009 06:42:12 PM 986 Views
I think it's the most simple possibility. - 04/11/2009 10:39:02 PM 696 Views

That's just absurd - 04/11/2009 10:48:30 PM 776 Views
No, I'm making it more simple. - 04/11/2009 11:11:36 PM 708 Views
That thoery doesn't account for the undoing of the Compulsion - 04/11/2009 11:50:06 PM 731 Views
Yes, it does. Distance causes maintained weaves and Links to attenuate. - 05/11/2009 04:22:37 PM 753 Views
Yes, but Compulsion is almost never a maintained weave *NM* - 06/11/2009 07:19:24 PM 391 Views
But the real question in my mind... - 02/12/2009 08:28:31 PM 692 Views
