Many people have been wondering how Egwene was able to get her hand on the sa'angreal in the tower so easily. I don't know if someone proposed it already, but I believe it could be simply that the wards were removed by Verin when she tried to get her hand on the oath rod.

Were just on the door itself. She had siuan show her how to get to the stores of angreal earlier in the book I believe while in TAR.
About the wards, I believe that the aes sedai did not anticipate someone being able to travel directly into the room with the angrael itself. If she would have tried to open the door she might have set some wards off but she popped in, stole the sa'angreal and popped out...
