One of the my favorite scenes in the book is when Verin admitted that she was Black Ajah. I will admit that this was a shock akin to being smacked in the face with a brick. I had debated back and forth about her role and her supposed ability to lie as seen with the "Moiraine sent me" line, but I believed that she was not black when reading from her POVs. Sure, she stretched things with her lie and use of forbidden knowledge, but then again Moiraine used the forbidden balefire with no problems.

Now, this scene makes one ponder if there are many members of the black ajah like verin or how many darkfriends there may be out there who were forced into it and are working to undermind the Dark One and help the Dragon win the Last battle... We saw from Verin's scene that a member of the BA only has an hour window at the end of her life in order to spill the beans not many women are willing to die for their cause like Verin did, but I would love to see other informants step out of the woodwork. I also would love to know more info from verin's book. It would be very interesting to know the inner workings of the Black Ajah...
