Almost certainly dead Isaac Send a noteboard - 02/11/2009 04:48:18 PM
I've reread the scene a few times now and it seems each time more and more written as meant to be unambigious total kill, still, in fiction nothing is certain.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

I think it's fair to say at this point that Graendal did not kill Asmodean. - 02/11/2009 04:36:37 AM 776 Views

She is dead - 09/11/2009 01:37:03 AM 614 Views
That's pretty terrible logic - 19/11/2009 05:58:57 AM 751 Views

Dead. - 02/11/2009 06:46:10 AM 604 Views
Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer? - 02/11/2009 07:04:08 AM 702 Views
Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM* - 02/11/2009 02:15:31 PM 315 Views
It could but... - 02/11/2009 03:14:23 PM 697 Views
Moridin would most likely know. - 02/11/2009 04:06:04 PM 603 Views

That weave was very complex. - 02/11/2009 10:34:36 PM 606 Views
Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex. - 04/11/2009 05:11:07 PM 691 Views
But you can't reverse Compulsion by unraveling it, right? - 18/11/2009 10:48:08 PM 624 Views
Almost certainly dead - 02/11/2009 04:48:18 PM 770 Views
Yeah. Compared to, say, Sammael's "death" - 02/11/2009 10:40:01 PM 674 Views
Not even almost. Graendal and Sammael now both go well with eggs. *NM* - 03/11/2009 01:51:15 AM 338 Views
Oh, I agree, but fiction, deus ex machina, etc - 04/11/2009 09:58:42 PM 611 Views
Graendal is dead. the evidence is pretty hard - 03/11/2009 08:00:27 PM 2942 Views
Well, unlike everyone else, - 04/11/2009 01:34:57 AM 624 Views
Alive. It's the simplest answer for me, especially considering that Rand knew she was more cunning - 04/11/2009 05:03:38 PM 774 Views
Re: Balefire. - 04/11/2009 05:30:12 PM 616 Views

Hm. Possible. - 04/11/2009 06:42:12 PM 903 Views
I think it's the most simple possibility. - 04/11/2009 10:39:02 PM 624 Views
Re: I think it's the most simple possibility. - 09/11/2009 01:51:52 AM 548 Views
That's just absurd - 04/11/2009 10:48:30 PM 690 Views
No, I'm making it more simple. - 04/11/2009 11:11:36 PM 635 Views
That thoery doesn't account for the undoing of the Compulsion - 04/11/2009 11:50:06 PM 646 Views
Yes, it does. Distance causes maintained weaves and Links to attenuate. - 05/11/2009 04:22:37 PM 678 Views
Yes, but Compulsion is almost never a maintained weave *NM* - 06/11/2009 07:19:24 PM 358 Views
But the real question in my mind... - 02/12/2009 08:28:31 PM 613 Views
