Moridin. Well, not really pity but more of a twinge of something related to pity. I don't know, it was just something about him sitting there all melancholy, being completely open and honest with Rand. Plus the fact that he wants existence to end is kind of haunting. But still Rand needs to balefire him back to the stone ages


I know what you mean. I kind of felt the same thing. Moridin really isn't like the other Forsaken. He is fighting for the Dark One because he believes in his cause, not for the glory and immortality like the others. He wants existence to end. He has been around and insane for thousands of years. If Rand feels exhausted and wants it all to end after a few short years, Moridin must feel exasperated by now. Of course, I still want him to fail miserably, but it was enlightening to see the effort and strain that he was under, instead of the extreme confidence and surety that he presents when he meets with the other Forsaken.
