1. If you can channel the One Power, you'll go mad or you'll rot alive. If you avoid these you'll be subjected to the rough treatment of the Red ajah, and you will die from depression a few years later.
Given that you will probably turn into a mass murderer if left to run free your prison is the WT where you are fed and sheltered from those who would love to kill you and are generally treated very well.
2. If you're part of the new generation of Ash'aman who channel without the taint, you may be in luck. You need to survive the harsh training where you might die or be burnt out. There's also a huge gathering of darkfriends there, and lethal discipline is not uncommon. If you manage to channel and stay Light, you'll find that Rand al'Thor has just agreed to have you bonded to the Tower against your will. Or Taim... he's agreed to have you bonded to the Red ajah. Not the Greens, the Reds.
You don't have to go to the Black Tower. If you do, the Aes Sedai who bonds you will find out that she can't treat you just like any other warder. She may have serious problems compelling you through the bond and you may even be able to match her. Given time the relationship will probably evolve into more of a partnership. In exchange you get the help of one of the most politically powerful groups in the land. As far as the Reds goes they have some nut jobs in their ranks but they are not looking for warders. For the rest they have been stuck doing a rotten job that no one else really wants to do but if no one stepped up to the plate your country would be a bigger version of the Land of the Madmen.
3. If you're a warder you won't get tired easily and you're a killing machine, but if an arrow takes out your fragile Aes Sedai you'll go insane and get yourself killed. Either way, it's a life of servitude if that's what you like.
We don't yet know what the effect is on a fellower channeler. If you are feeling down embrace the One Power. That will make you feel better. Re Servitute see above.
4. If you can channel in Shara or Seanchan you're killed on sight. If you're Aiel you're sent to the Blight to face the Dark One (this always ends badly).
It sucks in Shara or Seanchan but the Aiel don't force anyone to go to the blight. You believe that you are going to kill the Dark One. I don't think there is any consequences if you decide not to go. In any event if you are going to go insane and start killing everything around you why not do it when you are surrounded by Shadowspawn. At least you can take some of them with you.
5. On a seafolk ship a man has almost zero authority unless it has to do with cargo decisions.
You hold the purse strings. Its nice to be in charge but if you control the money no one will ever ignore you.
6. In Andor you can never be king.
But you get to live in a relatively stable country where the rule of law is upheld even for the nobility. If you want to be king go invade Murandy.
7. In most other nations you can be king, but almost never are.
Lets see, we have two in the Borderlands, there was one in Chairhien, the majority of the rulers in Tear are men, there was a king in Illian and Amador. No women can be captain general of the whitecloaks. There is a King in Arad Doman, and in one of those nations south of Andor, north of Amador.
8. Even in small villages, the Woman's Circle emasculates almost every man and runs things.
Tell that to the Village Council who have official control over the village.
9. In Shara, Ayyad men aren't taught to read, write or do anything except make babies at the age of 16. At the age of 21 they are executed and cremated.
Yes it sucks in Shara. At least you die happy.
10. You can be the most powerful Clan Chief in the Aiel, but the Wise Ones run the show.
They do? I don't remember any women planning battles or working out strategy or other command level things. They manage the house its not the same thing.
11. Two out of three Clan Chief initiates die in the Rhuidean ter'angreal, but the Wise Ones use the same ter'angreal at a stage and almost never die.
No one forces you to go and try out for Clan Chief. If you do go there is the risk of death but you don't have to worry about a long apprenticeship beating carpets and making tea for the Wise Ones. If you survive its instant promotion.
12. Almost all the male Forsaken are dead, but almost none of the women.
They were stupid to go against Rand directly. If your are stupid you deserve what happens to you, male or female.
13. One of the greatest men in history died in infamy after sealing away the Dark One and all the Forsaken, whereas the woman who killed off the remaining Shadowspawn got the title 'Cutter of the Shadow' and died a hero.
She is such a hero that no one had heard of her outside of a very obscure book with bad art.
14. The great ta'veren Hawkwing had all his major mistakes reversed due to the better thinking of a woman at his side, namely Amaline or Tamika.
I think Ishamael may have helped as well. He is male in both bodies.
15. The Dragon Reborn will kill you without a second's thought if you cross him, but if you're a woman you won't die or get tortured. You might not even get punished.
A quick death or a life slaving away on a sub sistance farm when you are used to servants and palaces. A lot of people might chose the quick death.
16. Dreamwalking is very rare in men.
Wolf brothers are rare in women. Both carry equal dangers.
17. The main protagonists are often displayed as childish impulsive men with clear thinking and intelligent women at their sides.
Egwene. Enough said.
18. A woman in Ebou Dar can kill a man with very little defense needed.
Thats a legal defence but I don't think there is anything to say that the man just has to stand there and be stabbed.
19. Male nobles in Seanchan are forced to try on the a'dam for fun by the Empress. Sometimes they die.
If you don't like high stakes don’t go to court. You should probably also be careful about getting tattoos whether you are male or female.
20. Male Trollocs are for war and are always massacred. Female trollocs are safe in the blight making babies.
Enjoying the attention of male trollocks in not my idea of fun, especially if you have to hang out with Fades all day scaring the wits out of you. Also you never get to see any of the world or kill or pillage or generally have any fun.
21. The Dark One is referred to as 'he'.
So is the Creator.
22. If you're a male Forsaken you might come back in a woman's body, but the reverse has not been shown to apply.
Again if you are stupid and decide to go one on one with the Dragon Reborn you deserve what you get. The one person this has happened to seems to be enjoying him/her self. Beside I though you said it sucked to be a male. Keeping your Saidan strength and getting a female body that everyone agrees is hot may not be so bad.
23. Men can't link. If you can't do it alone, you can't do it ever.
Women are generally weaker. One on one or even two on one you are still probably going to come out better in any conflict. You can probably travel on you own where as a woman will probably need a friend to link with if she want to go on holiday or just get away from it all.
24. Most mainland armies are composed of men alone, and thus these are the people most often butchered in the multitude of battles we see.
Most of the civilians that those armies have "fun" with when they capture a city are women.
Given that you will probably turn into a mass murderer if left to run free your prison is the WT where you are fed and sheltered from those who would love to kill you and are generally treated very well.
