Personally, just all those little questions RJ might of not given a RAFO for once it was over. Dunstan Send a noteboard - 24/02/2017 04:44:56 PM

Very curious to this question. WOT had a lot of unfinished story arcs. The one that annoyed me the most was.....after all of the talk about Rand needing to unite the world prior to the LB, that never really happened. This quest for unity was one of the biggest justifications for the ever increasing book count.

Thanks!

Like say... Who made the Portal Stones?

They are said to predate the AoL... But the age before the AoL was us, and channeling only came to be at the end of it, so either...

A: Humans could somehow tap the OP before they could even channel.

B: The Portal Stones aren't actually ter'angreal, and channelers are effectively just powering up a piece of tech with the OP.

C: Humans learned how to channel... And nigh instantly knew enough about it to make something like the Portal Stones...

D: Perhaps the simplest answer given what it is they do. The Portal Stones simply aren't native to the main WoT dimension. Humans just woke up one day to find them peppered all over the landscape(perhaps even the seabed given the Breaking and all).
