She was thinking exaxtly the same about the female Queen's guards - the ones with no previous training were learning to use a sword faster. RJ would of course have known that about the military.
I don't see how it would have applied here, though. How much civilian experience would anyone have with a sword? How would boys have picked up much different habits than girls?

Some of the Queen's guards were Hunters or guards, others bouncers.

True. I like the idea that they are the ones who end up overseeing Tar Valon. Though that would only apply to some Ajahs, like Gray or Yellow. Can't see the Greens or the Reds taking up civil service.
