Yes I considered this too. It may be that filling the seed is like filling a flash drive and then you need someone qualified to go through the data.
Yes I'm not sure if the Finns are directly connected to this technology. Weren't we once told that the Finns were the origin of a lot of AOL technology?
However the slow loss of power was a hint for me that it could be the same. We know that the Finns can make ter'angreal, so I suspect they could have told the AS millenia ago how to make angreal in exchange for something 'small'.
Another mystery is how the actually managed to hold Lanfear and Moiraine. Rand managed to hold them off with a simple sword of Fire. My thoughts are that perhaps they lost consciousness, or the whole place on that side went nuclear and everyone was blown up and woke up either in jail or dead.
So how did Moiraine manage to keep her angreal? It doesn't sound like they were given wishes, and maybe they made her draw through it so they could get more saidar, and when she was rescued it came with.
This is true, but if Rand expects Elayne to work this out he is a real douchebag. I suspect his conversation was sufficient that he knew she would come right i.e. she could do it alone. I also suspect that the Talent somehow makes sense of it all and she won't struggle too much.
The well never made much sense considering it burnt out established Aginor on ++2 and Rand could handle it (and steal it) and his strength was probably 66. It's most likely because RJ made the book to be a stand alone novel, making Rand the all-powerful Dragon Reborn by the end of the book. I maintain my position that the Eye was created to force Rand because the AOL channelers knew/foresaw that he could not spend decades becoming strong and exposed to the taint. After he used the Eye I suspect he was instantly at about ++4. It's an often overlooked massively heroic gesture from the AOL.
It's not a well described Talent. She can copy ter'angreal but I don't recall her using the Power to do so. It's probably like puzzle building or people who can do Rubik's cubes.
