... why an AS wouldn't be highly motivated to reach her full potential, when AS hierarchy is based on strength. I suppose a highly academic AS wouldn't be motivated, as long as she got to focus on her areas of interest. And perhaps those AS who become ambassadors/advisors to various national leaders wouldn't be highly motivated. The job itself doesn't require strength, but being higher in the AS hierarchy should improves one's chances to be appointed to such a job.
Also, maybe someone with a particular Talent wouldn't be highly motivated, if the work they were doing was primarily associated with that Talent. Then the need for raw strength wouldn't be predominant.
That's all I can think of, at the moment.
