The main problem I see with that is as follows...

Ok, we know Rand has Lews Therin Telamon in his head, and that Semirhage said this has happened before, and that terminal madness often occures. What got me thinking, is Lews Therin thinks Rand is a voice in his head. I wonder if he was hearing voices in the AoL from the previous dragon.
I think the Horn of Valere actually triggered the AoL memories...a case opposite of Birgittes. Gaining memories instead of loosing.
I think the Horn of Valere is vital for Rand to fix his situation with LTT

In the age of Legends there is no taint, which is generally accepted as the main reason male channelers eventually go nuts. Rand just happens to have a "real" voice in his head while many male channelers pre-cleansing don't (yes, the horn having something to do with it is feasible).
Overall though think of it like this:
In the Age of Legends no one knows about the DO until Lanfear and a few others (I forget who) discover him. Once they discover him and release him he is free to touch the world. LTT fights the DO and ends up sealing the bore although it is imperfect and the DO taints the male half of the power. At this point male channelers who continue channeling will begin hearing voices and going nuts.
Sooner or later the seal are at the point of entirely breaking and allowing the DO back into the world in a fully manifested way. The cycle then spits the Dragon Reborn out into the world to fight the DO in the Last Battle. But, the world the DR is spit out into contains the nasty tainted power so this means that at some point the DR begins hearing voices. I believe that most would agree that only Rand seems to be the one who hears this voice while a few other ta'vern connect in other ways like Mat's memories and Perrin's wolf stuff. Still, Rand is the only one who seems to hear such an important voice. It may indeed be that the blowing of the horn had something to do with it, I don't really know for sure if that was what RJ intended.
Nevertheless, during this age we are reading, the DR cleanses the taint and eventually goes on to win the Last Battle and totally seal the DO back up. Eventually (possibly the next age or two) everyone who knows about the once tainted half of the male power and the DO dies off and eventually the DO is entirely forgotten about until the cycle repeats and the DO is rediscovered and so on.
So, no, I don't see how LTT could be hearing voices of past Dragons or anything like that because by the time LTT comes around with the Age of Legends no one is even in touch with the concept of the battles that take place after the DO is released.
Hope that helps make sense of it.
