$20 on Amazon.com, then downloaded an EPUB version from a torrent site and read it on my e-reader because lugging around a thousand page volume in 2013 is utter nonsense.

I lack the computer skills necessary for that.


You might also lack the patience for the multiple OCR errors I tolerated throughout. It was a very poorly proofread and corrected scan job that the uploader claimed was Final Draft quality (preventing anyone from bothering to improve on it). The EPUB I downloaded of Towers of Midnight was far better. In fact it was perfect.

So, I had to deal with some jarring mispellings like "Fie" in place of "He" and other silliness. I have no doubt that your experience was more satisfying than mine. I just didn't want to carry that book around. I read most of AMoL while my daughter was in the hospital 150 miles from home (while I stayed with her). Not having to carry that tome around was nice.
