One of the things missing from this book were any shadowspawn beside trollocs, trollocs+myrdrael and... trollocs. Where were they?

I expected the shadow to try and utilize the Blight creatures for something useful. After all the talks about Worms, no cordons of ravening giant worms showed up. No tentacle monsters from Malkier sneaked into the rivers and bog in Merrilor. No swarms of rats and ravens attacked the forces of light to distract them from the battle. Only a single bubble of evil made an appearance in the books.

The battles were pretty straightforward. Not what I expected for the invasion of hell's legions.
