Ishmael/Balzammon/Moridin can obviously see, though Balzammon at least no longer has eyes. I think the DO's power has more to do with that then any special genes except those for channeling.
A Fades ability to Travel Shadows also seems to mesh with Ishamael's original teleportation in tEotW. And additionally, what you mentioned above about the nature of the blight. I also think a Fades Powers might extend from a similar merging with TAR that we were discussing in regard to the DO and the Blight. Imagining using a shadow to Travel makes perfect sense in TAR as well as stepping outside the pattern as an alternative.

I know the old theory, but it never made sense. If the Myrddraal could channel the TP, they'd use it to fight you know...
Not fully functional channelers. Shadar Haran is what happens when that ability becomes active.
Or to think about it another way they are the throwback to human stock because of the channeling genes but that in most Fades this does not mean an actual ability
or lol its simply that the number of Fades who could channel the TP outweighs the amount of TP the DO has to spare and so like the Forsaken he doesn't give them access and Fades abilities are the natural Talent of TP channelers.
I think it would forcibly have occured to Aginor to test all the Shadospawn they made for the ability to channel...
If the Fades had the latent ability, Aginor would have found out, especially about the Myrddraal as they were a mystery - something unforeseen, he's put efforts into solving.
That's not to say the Myrrdraal may not have a kind of latent ability, but I very much doubt they're human enough genetically for the ability to be sensed by humans, and to work.
It's logical. The ability isn't random. For it to show up it would have to have been originally intentional, starting with Aginor trying to make the Trollocs a channelling species originally and therefore using the right human genes for the ability to manifest (thus all Trollocs would theorically have the genes). And forcibly he would have tested all his creations. Clearly if he tried that path, it never worked, the genes are there, but the ability is stunted. He says so himself in LOC, that Myrddraal have strange talents, but not that one - he's completely mystified SH can channel, and this strongly suggest he's tested the Myrrdraal for such an ability.
And it still doesn't explain how Myrrddraal travel through shadows like the Eelfinn in TOM do, or that they move like the Aelfinn do (they also sound like them...), or why they don't seem to obey the same physical laws as everything else purely from the human world.
By the way, it's too bad we didn't have a later POV with Aginor's further musings, but the Chosen seem to believe Shaidar Haran isn't truly a Myrrdraal. IMO, Shai'tan transmigrated the soul of a human channeler into a Myrddraal to give it the ability to use the TP and make it a physical vessel to use.
Well since the DO has direct access to who can channel his power that would explain why generally they can't. And since they are constructs made with the TP there is no reason to believe that even if they have a conduit to utilize that they would be able to connect to the OP.
The Shadow traveling and whatnot could also have very much to do with compressed reality. And since the Finns live in a compressed reality it could explain the similarity. If the Fades are more purely human AND more purely held together by the TP it is possible their increase in the DO's essence simulates attributes you might only see near the Bore of merging reality.
I have no idea what you mean by "compressed reality".
Where the real world is merged with TAR (which is connected to all realities;even imaginary ones) I was under the impression that you believed that the reason the Blight was like this is because the nature of DO requires that the he exist in all realities. If the prescence of the DO requires this merging its possible that an increase in his essence would allow a construct like a Myrdraal to merge realities and perform certain feats that can usually only be performed in TAR. The Finns live in a folded reality which may not be exactly the same as a merged one but close enough that similar feats can be performed.
Sorry, I don't follow you there. Even about the Bore's relation with TAR your theories and mine are quite different. I don't think TAR is "merged" with the RW.
I think you're going completely in wrong direction with Sindhol. RJ confirmed the Eelfinn and Aelfinn worlds are unrelated to TAR, that the powers of the creatures are unrelated to TAR. He said their worlds simply had "radically different sets of physical laws". That include the creatures from these worlds, obviously.
I figure I have one last chance to get out my underlying assumption on the series
