Murrandy is right between Andor and the Seanchan now and could easily stir up a war between the two if allowed too ...
I'd say Andor has it's hands full already with Trollocs overrunning their capital. RAFO, I guess.like DomA I didn't really want to believe it, as it's sort of LAME, but so far it's the most compelling theory on who Demandred's alter ego is.
Not anymore, I'd have to say. And the times we've seen Demandred on screen he's been wearing clothes that are consistent with a high ranking noble in the West Lands ... doesn't mean much, but for some reason I have a hard time seeing Demandred dressed as a Sea Folk man
Well darius, you make an excellent point there. One in my favour though, I think.Demandred is a smart guy; he survived among the Chosen for so long, he's a top general and he manages to correctly assess situations in mere seconds (Cleansing scene for instance).
Wouldn't you agree that it's actually pretty dumb to wear clothing from the place where you are hiding, when you want to keep your hiding place hidden.
Would you wear a Zulu outfit to a meeting of people when you're trying to keep your location -a Zulu village- hidden from the very people attending that meeting?
It's one of the first things you change when you want to hide; appearance and local dress-code! Since Demandred is keeping the Chosen that aren't part of his alliance in the dark, how stupid would it be to give a clear -and very obvious- hint by what you're wearing?
What should make you really wonder, is why Graendal -the one spotting the 'hint'- can't find Demandred despite that clothing hint, if it's such a good hint! She obviously takes note of it and yet it's clearly frustrating Graendal grealty she can't find Demandred nor Semirhage.
Maybe RJ's real hint here, is that since Graendal can't find Demandred the logical conclusion to us readers should be that the hints she picked up are actually no good!
I'd say that's the only logical conclusion given the fact Graendal is dying to know where Semi and Demi are and Sammael actually orders her to find them for him when she's firmly under his thumb.
RJ let's us know Graendal looked for the location of Demandred by following the wrong clues and we know this because she's unable to find Demandred with the clues she picked up. This in stark contrast to the clues Sammael -also a top general of the Shadow- picks up and can see where Demandred is working his magic by looking at the right clues. Clues he understands and Graendal doesn't because his career shows similarities with Demandreds.
What's even funnier is that Graendal wanted to 'trade' all her knowledge of the other Chosen for the location of Demandred and that Sammael tells Graendal to 'have Demandreds friends 'steer' clear of him.
Both those quotes are meaningless when Demandred would be hiding as Roedran, but they become marvelously hidden jokes by RJ if you consider Amel / Sea Folk as Demandreds hiding place.
With that said, I reserve the right to be pleasantly surprised if he turns out to be someone else!
Hahaha. That's a nice way of puting it!
I can't wait for AMoL (and yet, I dread to read it...it'll allll be over in a few months time *stuffs fist in mouth
