I said just because the taint has been described as oil-lie doesn't mean it has to have every property oil does. That's not to say it doesn't act like oil at all, just that nothing in the books says it acts like oil in every possible situation.

I'm trying to understand the point you are making.
I didn't say you were disagreeing, I'm trying to understand what relevance non-oil properties would have and where they could have appeared. Clearly you think there is some relevance to saidin not being oil-like in every possible situation ... I'd like to hear what those situations are. It's curiosity more than anything.
From my POV the Taint only really existed on saidin. What other possible situations are there for it to display other non-oil like properties?
