He could have an Aes Sedai (a Black) make it for him; everyone knows about the miracles of Aes Sedai, and the Murandians even know about the mysteriously disappearing army of Aes Sedai. As for there not being much of Caemlyn left standing, it probably doesn't matter much; Elayne will want to defend it anyway. It's one of her themes.
Birgitte might well smack her head and carry her away this time!
I agree Elayne will have to deal with the mess, though. She'll need armies there to deal with it. Caemlyn is gone but the mercenaries aren't, and the Shadowspawn probably aren't. There are tons of villages and town in the area, that would become prey to banditry and worse. I'm not convinced of the allegiance of the Legion just yet (why haven't they been brought to Merrilor? I wonder). There's a whole lot of questions in the air. The Brandon irritating approach to chronology means we have little idea when the BT events of the prologue take place in relation to Merrilor/the attack/Aviendha's scenes (though "earlier" seems certain, perhaps much earlier). It's curious Myrelle and co didn't raise the alarm at Merrilor at this point. They can't ignore Caemlyn in flames four leagues north, and they have substantial forces - 47 AS, Warders, a Tower Guard contigent to try to have done something. Hard to see how Myrelle and Greens of all people could have stood aside as Caemlyn burned... unless they,re gone, or events have elvolved at the BT or Taim prevented them from doing anything. What happened with the group of AS at the Silver Swan is another question? Are they still there? If the Legion's there, why have they've stayed aside? They too were but a few leagues away, north west of Caemlyn.
