It took me a while to get into WoT on audiobook. It was the first book I had ever digested in audio form, and I wasn't too excited at first. I think part of it was my familiarity with the books, along with the fact that I was venturing into new territory with audiobooks in general. But there was nothing else going for me at the time during my work commutes, so I kept listening.

I don't remember when it happened, but at some point I was completely in enthralled. In fact, my first readings of KoD and the Sanderson capstone novels were in audiobook format. Well, that's a half-truth. I actually did a hybrid of the audio and written novels: reading when I could, listening when I could not. Crazy, right?

Between the two readers, I thought that Michael Kramer was the far better of the two, but Kate Reading has also grown on me (though I think she sometimes gets the inflection wrong during some of the key dialogue moments). But it's great to have a male and female doing the respective PoV's, which tends to help ground me to which character I am seeing through (something which I can lose sight of sometimes, especially in the RJ books. The man just never liked repeating names!).

Anyway, all I'm saying is you might want to try it out a bit longer, and see. It certainly isn't for everyone. I'm pretty sure the consensus is divided pretty evenly as to who loves it and who hates it. But this humble reader is a definite convert to the medium.
