...anything that could explain how the 2015 deadline mentionned by Harriet at JordanCon fits in?
All the official articles gave the impression Universal bought the rights, not taken an option on them with a set deadline to exercize it like NBC had done previously.
But according to various reports, Harriet spoke a seven year deadline attached, which is bizarre, and of her hopes it's a TV project that would arise after that. Perhaps the contract gave Universal seven years of exclusivity before Jordan regained the right to sell them for a TV project, but that would be rather weird.
