I haven't been around this board much (as you may have noticed) so I don't know if this has been talked about recently but figured I'd jump in anyhow.
I read the last new books without rereading any of the others and I could remember enough that it was ok, but it's been a while and my head has been filled up with GRRM again. Also, given it's the last book of WoT coming out, I started reading them so long ago and they've had a big influence on my life in general (genre of book I tend to read, and of course finding wotmania 11 years ago...11 years...jeez) I figured I'd reread the whole lot before reading the new one.
My sister reckons that you need about 6 months to read the whole lot, assuming you want a life and to read other stuff in between, and I'm feeling a bit slow at the moment with my reading so thought I'd start soon and give myself even longer. I just now counted it and realised it's 9 months. That seems a little weird but never mind.
How many people are planning on rereading them all before the last one comes out? How long would you allow for a reread?
I also wonder if I'll find it more jarring reading the Brandon Sanderson books after I've read the others rather than individually. Guess I'll find out!
