I think that Moridin request Lanfear back when he negociate with the Finn, but failed to mention Alive.
The Finn Knowing that the DO can ressurect his follower, simply kill her thus respecting fully the term of the bargain.
The Finn Knowing that the DO can ressurect his follower, simply kill her thus respecting fully the term of the bargain.
I suspect they would have only killed her if they could gain from her death ... Certainly what you outline is plausible, but it seems less likely to me as in the other encounters with the 'Finns they have been very deliberate in their actions. They hung Mat knowing full well that he would survive and eventually return to them, they gave Moiraine answers to questions also knowing she would return. Why kill Lanfear with no potential gain for them?
Perhaps her relationship to the Shadow is a factor as Moiraine pointed out in TSR questions related to the Shadow could have drastic reactions. But like I said ... Doesn't seem like a plot point that is particularly important unless Moridin got other things from the 'Finns as part of the deal.
Well there's always the fact that the Finns punish anything related to the Shadow. Its possible being one of the Forsaken is a death sentence, or perhaps freedom is impossible for the servants of the Shadow. I still think the Finns hate the Shadow because it can affect the Pattern and can 'blind' them.
Clearly the 'Finn are held to the treaties even with the Shadow ... Moiraine does point out that Lanfear was there too and held subject to the treaties.
Its possible that they are prepared to hold someone like Lanfear, especially because they feed on emotion, experiences and actual saidar too. The finns punish anything related to the Shadow severely, and sometimes they decide that something is related even when you thought you'd asked an innocent question, so I dont know how a Forsaken could or would request anything that doesnt involve themselves, the Shadow or Rand.
