How is it possible for this guy to write so fast? 10k words in a night?

"After a few hours with the family, am back at work on #AMoL. It's slightly possible that I'll finish it sometime during the night."
"You can follow along, if you wish. I have twenty small points on my outline left to hit. Maybe 10k words or so. I'll tweet as I pass them."
"Note that as I approach an ending, my writing speed goes up, as I get momentum. 10k tonight is not impossible. (Though most days I do 2-3)"

George Martin said recently that he considers himself to be a slow writer. In a good year, he can do 500 pages, but he cannot maintain that year after year.
Considering the quality and depth of Martin's writing, I fully understand why every line needs to be carefully crafted, re-evaluated and tweaked until absolutely perfect.
For example, Martin has stated that he wishes he was as glib tongued as Tyrion Lannister. Every quip that Tyrion fires off without blinking, takes Martin hours to come up with.
As it should.
I just have to wonder whether quality of writing does not suffer if Sanderson writes entire scenes in a single night. Night after night, day after day.
It's like a sausage machine, just pumping out more words.
Would it not be worth it if he agonized over his scenes a bit more, and crafted his dialogue line by line for maximum impact, rather than just flow writing where the urge takes him, filling out another Mat scene before breakfast, a Rand scene before lunch and chucking in a quick Forsaken death before dinner?
It just seems like more thought and effort should be going into it than seems possible considering the pace he is going at.
