What's with all the Lews Therin ass-kissing? Rand makes a list and automatically its accepted as a sacred decree.

If Latra Posae had been such a push over, saidar would have been tainted too. Opposition is therefore essential to keep the Dragon in check, and balanced.

Egwene obviously has a big role to play, and I doubt she's around for the sole purpose of Rand to dupe her into making an army for him. She'll stop him from making a catastrophic mistake, and then there will be a lot of posts about it on this board, and much despair.
