Brandon Sanderson is not nearly the WoT writer RJ was, and his two books are greatly inferior products. That is my position, I will not retract that nor ameliorate it. I will continue to express it in as hyperbolic or provocative a manner as the mood takes me, when I feel the need to do so. That being said, however...
I am completely and thoroughly grateful, beyond my ability to articulate, for Brandon Sanderson's efforts to complete the WoT series and bring it to his fellow readers as best as he can, and I honestly cannot see how anyone else could have done much better, or without erring equally egregiously in other areas. Without Brandon Sanderson's efforts, we would have nothing, and I would unequivocally state that "tWoT by RJ and Brandon Sanderson" is much better than nothing, or even many original works out there, no matter what I might say when comparing it to "tWoT by RJ".
That latter series ended for good upon the author's passing, however, and that we have anything at all left to go on is thanks to the dedication and efforts of people I have mostly ridiculed on this board for their shortcomings compared to the efforts of the late Robert Jordan, whom they all probably missed much more than I, for admittedly trivial reasons such as affection and mutual relationships and other such blather.
I do not apologize for my previous posts on the subject, as their efforts did, in fact, obtain for them $70 of my hard-earned money, which as far as I am concerned more than pays for my right to say any damn thing I want about them and their work. Indeed, if anyone found such posts on my part to be offensive, well the only one harmed was me and my reputation in the eyes of my fellow wotmanics/rafonaughts, so IMO, there is really no one to apologize to. I simply state this for the same reason I state any opinion on this site - to bring to you all the benefit of better knowing Cannoli's mind. And in that light, you should know that I take the good right along with the bad, even if it is much more fun to express negative opinions and sentiments.
So, once again, it is only through the efforts of Brandon Sanderson and Harriet McDougal and other members of Team Jordan and Tor that we have what little there is to appreciate of this magnum opus, whose value and merit are proven by the mere existence of this website, its colleagues, its predecessor and the community of readers it has been my very great pleasure to interact, trade opinions and insults, and enjoy escapist pulp literature with these last eight years.
Cannoli out, bitches.
