I must agree with everything that you said beet. I also think there are a couple more items to add.
1. The lack of men to balance the women in the tower. Without a male viewpoint to balance the female view point the Aes Sedai have withdrawn from the world and started considering themselves not part of it. The Aes Sedai with Rand are (grudgingly) starting to realize that it is better to be in the world effecting change than in the tower scheming to try to get others to change. They are also starting to learn just why the greatest works with the power require both halves working together (though I am sure the linking rules when men are involved has caused more than a little frustration).
2. Those damn fool oaths. The Aes Sedai are the ONLY group of channelers who artificially limit themselves in order to make people trust them. What they are ignoring is people STILL don't trust them because even with the oaths there are loopholes big enough to put an elephant through. They need to learn that trust and respect are earned, never given. And those 3 oaths need to be tossed out. This is one area where Siuan is dead wrong. The oaths are not what make them Aes Sedai and never were. What makes them true Aes Sedai is being what their name actually means, Servants of All. They should be offering help freely with no strings attached. None of this game of houses.
On a completely unrelated note, while I usually lurked at WotMania, it sucks that it is gone.

All of these, plus Redqueen, but really: breeding? They may be AS, but they're still human... *NM*
