It's like I have always been asking for a bit more emotional investment in the Forsaken and their back stories.
My view was that RJ didn't add enough depth to their stories. As in:
Aginor should be worshipped by the Trollocs as some sort of Creator deity - the one who created them 3000 years ago. They should have legends about him and he should have some special connection to them beyond that of merely the Forsaken mark which forces them to obey him
We should learn a bit more about the types of books that Demandred wrote, his love interest in Ilyena, his political career and other areas of excellence.
Maybe we should hear more about the average Forsaken's mom/brother/husband than just the automatic line that none of them had any family they cared about and that they would all feed their granny to a Trolloc if it gained them an angreal or two.
It's way too simplistic. Even Hitler had family he cared about. But apparently not the Forsaken.
And Lanfear - well, you'd want a bit more depth to her and Lews Therin's love affair.
It seems that's what Sanderson is also honing in on. But I doubt that RJ ever intended it. He didn't care enough about the Forsaken to add any depth to their characters.
