I've looked at the link above and I don't dispute that Verin could have done these things - though the dreamwalking is a bit of a stretch. I just don't see why she would. You could ascribe a lot of things to Verin if you wanted to, it doesn't mean she did them.

Firstly, has Verin even met Aviendha? And if she has, does she have any reason to believe she's anything but another apprentice Wise One? I can see Verin putting Egwene or Nynaeve or Elayne through some kind of soul-searching test, she very much wants all three of them to prosper and succeed, but what reason does she have for caring one way or the other about Aviendha? This is the main issue I have with this theory - why would Verin give a damn? She's a busy woman with her own, vitally important, mission.

Secondly, it seems clear that this conversation was designed to lead Aviendha into her second journey through the glass columns ter'angreal, something that will have huge consequences for the future, and the Aiel. But how would Verin know of that bleak future? She isn't omniscient, she isn't a dreamer, and if she'd been to the Aelfinn at some point in her long life, I very much doubt she would waste one of her questions asking about a people she had never met.

Thirdly, plausibility. Aviendha does not recognise Nakomi but she does accept that she is Aiel, which Verin would not pass for in a million years. But even assuming a Power-woven disguise, what about accent, or idioms, or knowing how Aiel cook their food? There's more to pretence than appearance. For that matter, how did she even find Aviendha? It's a big Waste.

I fail to see why Verin as Nakomi's true identity is any likelier than a random Wise One setting one final test. The leaps of logic required are torturous. The Wise One looks a lot more probable, especially since the whole event seemed very dreamlike. Verin might be a mysterious and all-knowing character, but that doesn't mean she's omnipotent, omniscient or responsible for every unexplained encounter in the books.
