I am listening to all the audiobooks and am currently up to a PoD. A repetitive refrain from Rand is that he has blood on his hands and is responsible for much of the troubles in the world. He also adheres to the principle that he must united the peoples of the world by force and threats are the only thing that keep many of his "allies" in line. Threats and their fear of him.
Given his "conversion" on Dragonmount to accept LTT and his fate completely and to lead with a different model of compassion, my question is how could Rand have executed his strategy to fight the Shadow and the DO differently?
In my view, he really blames himself too much for the current state of things in Randland. There is plenty of blame to go around-starting with the WT, power hungary Lords, etc.
Thoughts?

He didn't really have a plan before the revelation on Dragon Mount.
