If you want great literature that (supposedly) expands your mind then go read the classics (personally I would rather be beheaded with a blunt wooden axe!), if you want entertainment read other people of whom RJ is but one exponent. Pick the writer(s) you like by all means but dont impose your taste on others.

To me this is a little like the classical music Vs. popular music, neither is wrong, just go with what you like and let the other guy think his choice is best.

To me RJ is a great writer because he entertains me, yes there are flaws and the timeline issues annoy the heck outta me, but overall I always feel I have had my money's worth.
