As for the Mormon thing, it is an inarguable noun which is what I needed to make the joke work there. Also it sounds a little like "moron" and also insinuates some sort of religiously-inspired naivete that augments his inexperience.

I hate whenabsolute idiots agree with portions of my posts - it makes me question my own opinions and reasoning when someone states that he agrees with so much of it and then goes to make such an imbecilic statement as this above. Your position seems to be that no one is allowed to criticize anything unless they are capable of doing that better (try to recall this notion the next time you are dissatisfied with a service you receive - no criticizing the doctor unless you can treat yourself better, or run a medical practice more cheaply; no complaining about ANY politician untill you manage to get elected to office, etc. ). For one thing, after reading the first chapter of Mistborn, I almost certainly COULD have picked a better writer than Brandon Sanderson. For another, the whole purpose of my post was to state the very concept you bring up in Mrs. McDougal's defense: that it is difficult to make good decisions under such circumstances! If they lost the love of their lives, Aviendha et al could experience that very difficulty and end up making decisions that start their offspring on the path to disaster. Try to grasp the point before you lash out with a knee-jerk defense of the authors your imagine are your friends.
