I believe Caemlyn is less than 300k people .... That's what .05% the size of London? darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 30/01/2011 06:02:50 PM
I walk 1km to get to the local shops. I've been to a university bigger than that! 10km is an upper bound, but this is still only 4% of London's area. Quite big, but the people in Caemlyn don't know the other side of the city, so it can't be too small...

Either way, it's an unreasonable amount of effort.

Mat knew his starting place, he was after all luring the thing out. Which narrows the number of possible spots even further. So what there are maybe 20 spots to choose from? Mat knew he needed to get the creature to one of the pre-determined locations. Seems simple enough to me, is Mat had been surprised bt the Golam again I would agree with you, but they had obviously planned out as close to the specific location as possible.

Yes, RJ confirmed that Shadowspawn can't survive gateways. *NM* - 24/12/2010 07:39:02 PM 455 Views
And then BS confirmed that gholam are "more perfected" Shadowspawn which can. *NM* - 24/12/2010 08:35:34 PM 459 Views
Read the post I responded too. I know that. - 26/12/2010 11:58:40 AM 941 Views
Why would them not being able to survive a gateway be a problem? - 26/01/2011 05:36:09 AM 776 Views

They prepared a place, and it just happened to be within walking distance of the attack? - 25/12/2010 09:44:34 AM 859 Views

Perhaps, but I don't think so. - 01/01/2011 01:19:12 AM 733 Views
Not realty. Caemlyn is huge by the standards of the time but realistically it's tiny - 01/01/2011 06:05:06 AM 774 Views
The sizes I proposed are not huge (well, they would be by standards in the middle ages but not now) - 04/01/2011 06:37:50 AM 716 Views

You aren't seriously comparing modern population densities to medieval ones, are you? *NM* - 30/01/2011 09:23:57 PM 436 Views
Of course not - 30/01/2011 09:30:47 PM 794 Views
That would be an error if it hadn't been Skimming (the platform and what not) they were using. - 25/12/2010 02:29:39 AM 819 Views
It is an error because they opened a skimming gateway to the house (from the skimming place) - 25/12/2010 09:47:08 AM 815 Views
