We next move to one of my favorite PoVs from the series. Graenal. Moridin sends an Asha'man to summon Graendal to meet him. I think many will agree that this is significantly important in proving that Moridin is indeed Taim.


Are you sure he's an Ash'aman? When I read it I assumed he was merely a messenger, and that Moridin had woven the gateway. He's a man dressed in black - he's got no pins, and Graendal doesn't comment on him. Considering everything in Moridin's palace is totally black, it makes sense that his servants dress in black too.


This was no Asha'man, it's one of Moridin's pretty servants (probably not a Zomora, however). He's got some in black livery and some in red.

Graendal has eyes on Moridin and says he's always in the north and only Cyndane and Moghedien are sent south. It doesn't help the Moridin/Taim theory, it places one more dent in it.

OTOH, Graendal all but eliminated herself as the one who sent the attack to Tear, Demandred appears to eliminate himself as well. Mesaana was never a good suspect, and Aran'gar is out.

That pretty much leaves Semirhage acting on Moridin's orders or Moridin himself. Now that the part of my theory that Moridin was the one to order Semirhage to capture Rand is confirmed, I wonder if the second part, that Moridin sent the Trollocs not to kill Rand (not at all) but to decimate his highly dangerous inner circle before the capture attempt will prove right too
