the only way i can see anything changing for the future would be if Avienda could be present at the time the pact is entered. Could the timing work? She is the only person who would put two and two together and maybe help avoid this bleak future.
If DomA is right and the future Avi saw was pre VoG, when Rand was the Dark Rand, then it's possible that new Rand, the Light Rand, could pass alone some Light genes to his Aiel kids. After all, his kids were the ones that started all this dark future in the first place.
I don't think it was Dark Rand's viewing she saw. The viewing shows an important part of Rand's legacy, namely the Peace of the Dragon, which Light Rand heavily implies he will request as part of his price to fight the Dark One.
And of course, there is no post-TG viewing for a Dark Rand. The wolves made that clear.
To be fair, we don't know if Dragon Peace is only the Light Rand idea, or the Dark Rand had it as well. Frankly, we don't know much about post-TG ideas of the Dark Rand. We know for sure he wanted "peace", forced upon others or not, didn't matter to him.
As for wolves, can you elaborate what do you mean?
