Yeah, it's too bad none of the Forsaken have shown any signs of being conflicted

I mean, I get why- they spent hundreds of years being Evil Overlords. But, if this was the way the plot was going, a perfect trinity would be Rand, Nynaeve, and a reformed female Forsaken (has to be a female, there can never be more men than women in a circle).
Don't see it happening, though- a huge redemption like that would have to have at least SOME buildup. Lanfear and Graendal would be the two best choices, as they've had the most character development of the evil ladies, but I can't really buy either of them turning. Cyndane's even crazier than before, and Graendal doesn't seem like she'd do it either.
(Only possibility: She reasons that her side has lost, and she might as well be on the winning team. Doubt it'll happen though)
The thing I really hate about the whole "True Power will be used to seal the Dark One" is that access to the TP must be GRANTED,, and as far as we've seen it's pretty simple for the DO to grant or rescind access to the TP. Doesn't require a ritual or anything. So any use of the TP against the DO could be defeated by the DO going "Oh, you're my enemy now. *click* No more power for you!"

I really haven't been convinced that Callandor is important to winning Tarmon Gaidon.

Yes, that's possible. Just not very clear now.

I'm not really finding anything that says Callandor is Rands'/was Lews Therins' "appointed" weapon

Maybe the flaw in Callandor magnifying the taint will stop the DO from cutting off access to the TP *NM*
