That's not true. Chas Send a noteboard - 21/12/2010 02:22:50 AM
Oh... three people figured it out individually. It must be right! Incidentally, "ad" Lews Therin, in Rand's head, also asked Rand to break the Seals, shocking him to the core. When he spoke of this to Fel, Fel said he saw no reason for the Seals to be broken. Then, he died, and a note conveniently left for Rand asked him to "clear away the rubble". Rand and Min both get the idea for breaking the Seals from a note of doubtful provenance!

Initially, neither Min nor Rand have any clue what 'clear away the rubble' actually means. It's only after Min starts reading Fel's books and Rand asks her to help him figure out what he has to do that the break the seals bit comes into the conversation. It may very well have been what the note meant, but in KoD or tGS (I can't remember which) there is a scene where Min very clearly states that the more she reads Fel's books and investigates the prophecies the more she is certain that the Seals have to be broken. The conclusion was reached on its own merits.

I suppose you could argue that the Shadow pruned Fel's library and only left the books that would lead to this conclusion, but man, that's really reaching.

Also, Egwene doesn't know what her Dream means (in the 'True' sense that she always gets, whether during the Dream or in some time frame afterward) she only has a sense of foreboding based on having a Dream she realizes was about the Seals based on her limited knowledge of them.
