And really, do fix the "Aiels" part. It detracts from the theory.

Let's assume that your point about sealing the bore with threads (lives) from the Pattern is the way to seal it. The theory raises as many questions (if not more) than it answers, namely:

1. How does a "life" seal the Bore? Does it kill the person? How many lives are needed? What exactly does it mean to be "sealing" the Bore? You provided some fairly groundless speculation on that point. It may be correct, but there's not really a massive level of support for it as I see it.

As to the answers to those details, the plot requirements will take care of it.
a)Since only a remanent of remanent of Aiel can survive, use a life thread to Seal the Bore will have a high probability to kill the person, or drive him/her insane.

So instead of driving channelers insane for a second breaking of a world, you have a world with a large asylum and other people caring for those insane for the sacrifice they had made, instead of leaving them homeless on the street. Isn't that a nice parallel to the end of the War of Shadow?

If RJ chose to take it this way, I would take it to be a subtle plea to the American Public about the state of Veteran's mental health care. Given RJ's combat experience in Vietnam, I would have expected it to end that way. In fact, I expect the whole series to be about his view about War, soldiers and the relationship between civilians and veterans.

b)As to how many lives are needed, as many as needed to maintain suspense until the very end of the book, and not more than the plot can provide. In other words, somewhere between five to ten clans of Aiel.

c)If this is the right answer, it can't have a massive support. Any good author must leave only a hint instead of a blazing trail to his final answer.

How massive a support is there for ashendarei to be the way out of ToG? Everyone was concentrating on "Courage to Strengthen, Fire to Blind, Music to dazzle, Iron to Bind."

2. What, then, happened when Mierin and her friend (was that Beidomon?) broke through in the first place? Since "the Wheel" is cyclical, it would imply that the lives sealing the Bore were...lost? Did the people go insane? Did it just "push them away"? What?

Since we are using weaving as analog, the drilling can be explained as pushing the life threads of the pattern aside to create a hole. It is not necessary to break a thread to do so.

3. What happens if a person's life is helping to seal the Bore when that person dies? Do they not get spun out again? Are they like Heroes of the Horn? Are Heroes of the Horn the people who need to seal the Bore, and hence they don't get spun out the same way as others?

I am not sure if you read the part 2 and 3 of the theory carefully. The answer is, when that person dies, the seal weakens, but new people can be added to the Seal to replace those who died. That is actually the appeal of the solution. It teaches the idea that there is no one-time solution to a long term problem.

You can't get rid of discrimination by passing a single law. You need to keep enforcing it and keep educating people about it. You never achieve long lasting peace by fighting the "War to end all Wars". You have to keep working at it to maintain peace. You don't go to college once and finish all your learning there. You need to keep learning to keep up in your work place.

In term of the WOT series, it requires Perrin to keep adding life threads to the Seal, and that is why I call it a Living Seal. The threads that make up the Seal are changing, as new blood as added into it. And it is strong precisely because it is living.

To accomplish the task for Perrin to Enforce the Seals for eternity, I provided two solutions.

One, since Perrin claimed part of his soul went into his magic hammer, the hammer can do it by itself in the dreamworld forever. Why else would the hammer need his soul? Remember in the Pit of Doom, some construct were making blades for Fades? We have seen this type of things before.

Two, Perrin can become a Hero of the Horn and stay in the Dreamworld and keep hammering until the age when the DO is completely sealed away and forgotten. Then Perrin can be spun out again. This also fit with the often repeated desire of Perrin to "be a simple blacksmith".

You see, all the hints are there, if you look hard enough.
