Rand still feels guilty for the deaths he's caused. I'm not saying her return will bring any huge change in him now, just putting that out there.
He also still has trust issues.
This jumped out at me the first time I read it. I've thought since the prophecy Min mentioned in TGS that it would be Rand, Nynaeve, and Moiraine with Callandor, and this quote from Rand makes me even more certain.
And then there's the more boring (but relevant) thing that's already been mentioned. She has information from the Eelfinn for him. She's definitely unique in that way since she's probably the only one who's bargained with them besides Mat and Lanfear since the doorway was moved to Rhuidean.
