It's called 'reality' - I agree with LadyLorraine & Moratcorlm

I don't need to suspend my disbelief to read about fantastical elements. Personally, when I read WoT, I do think of it as a fable - I don't need to suspend my judgement or reality because there isn't enough truth or depth to this series to require it. Do you need to suspend your disbelief to read a comic book? Perhaps you would, if you took it seriously enough to need to overlook unrealistic elements, but I don't think this series merits that type of seriousness.
After all, the term "suspension of disbelief" traditionally meant that the story commented on some truth of the human condition using one or two fantastical elements, but was handled in such a way that you were supposed to take it seriously. I think the need to exercise this suspension would apply more to Octavia Butlers' "Kindred" than "Wheel of Time".

Agreed. The series is formulaic and predictable, and even I expected a few more twists.

I've always thought of this series (and fantasy in general) are a bit like Aesop's Fables

I'm not arguing that it necessarily does for everyone, just that YOU HAVE TO SUSPEND DISBELIEF
