It's not that saidin is stronger than saidar at all...

I didn't want people to think that saidar is literally that much weaker than saidin.
Technically, we don't have enough facts to really compare the two since they were used in different amounts and for different purposes, but I think your calculations as a rough measure of distance are well done - I honestly think you could have left it at the 5 miles distance comment Rand made unaided in terms of this specific discussion and had been fine.

All we're talking about is the quantity used on that particular occasion. Never was it said that they used the maximum amount that the access keys could handle. So what was used was what was necessary to achieve the objective.
The implication certainly was never that the male key is stronger than the female key.
However, since Rand IS stronger than Nynaeve, he would be able to channel more of saidin with the male key than she could with the female key, if both were used to the max.
That however was not the point of this post.

I think of it as having a finite amount of "energy"

Balefire started in chapter 12 could reach as far back in time as chapter 53 *NM*

5 miles unaided. And 5 miles x the strength multiplication of the Choedan Kal as a maximum.

Agreed, but that doesn't nullify the calculation...

I wasn't trying to nullify the calculation - I was making the point that saidin and saidar are equal
