What exactly does it take to halt the progress of balefire?
1) If one were to shoot balefire into the air, would it ever end?
2) How tough of a substance must it be to halt balefire? Can you balefire jello and then it halts or must it be a rock?
3) Is it some substance that stops balefire, or is just a distance FROM the source of balefire wherein it will simply stop. ie: Like a fire hose spraying water, it will only go X number of feet, and after that number no farther.
4) Can you balefire balefire?
5) Does the air get balefired too? Might that not create a vacuum if a huge amount of balefire was used such as when Rand balefired Graendal's palace?
These are the questions that keep me up at night....lol

I think of it as having a finite amount of "energy"

Balefire started in chapter 12 could reach as far back in time as chapter 53 *NM*

5 miles unaided. And 5 miles x the strength multiplication of the Choedan Kal as a maximum.

Agreed, but that doesn't nullify the calculation...

I wasn't trying to nullify the calculation - I was making the point that saidin and saidar are equal
