I agree that Moghedien plays to her strenghts which are not face to face combat. She is a snake who lies in wait, strikes with surprise and dissapears. Put it another way she is a bit like a stealth fighter. If you can find it in another fighter jet it is easy enough to shoot down but finding it is the problem. It can approach and strike and be on its way home before you know it is even in the area.
As far as Mesaana's will or lack there of the forsaken for the most part trade on their reputations as opposed to substances. Personally behind all that arrogance I think the forsaken are a bit afraid of the current age and its people.
Put it like this if we were transported back to the stone age we would probably feel all superior to the cave men but would we not secretly be a bit afraid of these savages who we can't really predict and who are really a lot more violent that our civilised nations, at least on the personal level of smashing in your skull with a rock.
