I think T'A'R properties were further developed later in the series

I'm still under the impression that, of the Forsaken, Moghedien posesses the greatest abilities in T'A'R. The whole controlling-everything-with-thoughts is something that was just recently introduced during the Perrin and Slayer scene (which I thought was great), and it gave our more strong-willed players (i.e. Egwene) a fighting chance against those much stronger and more experienced in the OP. It also gave Perrin a bit of the push that he's been sorely lacking for the past five books: he now is better than someone else at something.
With that in mind, I don't think Moghedien's final confrontation will take place in T'A'R, but a battle between Moggy and Nynaeve (they're dead-even in the OP, and this is a confrontation that has been building for ages).
I don't really care, personally, because all of the Forsaken confrontations have been pretty lame IMO. They're all the same: the Forsaken try some useless tricks, and the good guy easily wins with an obvious play--like willing your opponent dead, or cutting them off from Shai'tan with a sword.

It may simply come down to the fact that Moghedien uses T'A'R for different purposes

But, if you look at the scene, Mesaana didn't really do anything.

I don't think that was the first time was saw a mental battlefield, it was just more subtle.
