Robert Jordan said that you could not reach Shayol Ghul using the World of Dreams. When characters try to do this, there is a barrier preventing them from progressing. This implies that the Dark One created this barrier because It is especially vulnerable to attack there.

Could you tell me where you got this info?

All I found from RJ (from Terez quote library) was RJ saying that the blight was literally apart from the normal universe and that is why it could not be touched. The way I understood that was that the blight was a corruption of the DO on the natural working of the creators universe, and that is why there was no reflection in TAR. Because TAR only touched the natural places.

I don't know where you get this idea about a barrier?

Just because you can't easily reach Shayol Ghul doesn't mean you can't enter Tel'Aran'Rhiod once you reach it.

Even at SG itself, you would still be in the blight and apart from the normal universe. Blight cannot be touched in TAR. I suppose I could see a scenario where the new super!Rand drives away the blight around himself the way he does the clouds, and restores true reality which has a TAR reflection, but other than that I don't think you can go to SG at TAR.

A good example is the barrier that the Dreamspikes' created in Tel'Aran'Rhiod - in many ways, they resemble the dimensional disturbance surrounding the Blight and Shayol Ghul preventing easy access via T'A'R and gateways.

The dreamspike did not in any way prevent going into TAR. It just made a barrier. According to RJ, the blight is literally not part of the NORMAL UNIVERSE and has no reflection in TAR _at all_.

Even more noteworthy is the fact that Moridin was stockpiling tools that specifically prevents Travelling via Gateway or Skimming. Mesaana also started stockpiling specific ter'angreal - it is worth remembering that the strongest angreal the Tower had were left alone, but she took the opportunity to steal any ter'angreal that was connected to T'A'R as soon as possible.

Moridin had only two dreamspikes and we know where both were. Mesaanas ter'angreal were also used for the dream ambush, which Perrin prevented by bring his dreamspike to Tar Valon.

I think this is why Rand and Lews Therin are specifically stated to have a Talent for Travelling, even though we haven't really seen what this Talent would consist of besides blocking them from forming. I think he will need to find a way to Travel close enough there to attack the Bore directly or access the part of the Bore that exists in all dimensions and realities, which would bypass the need to physically travel to SG in the first place.

They have? Where has it been specifically stated that Rand has a traveling talent? I would like it if Rand/LTT did have a traveling talent similar to the guy in BT, but is there any proof that he does, or just speculation?
