I don't have the book with me right now, but I distinctly remember Androl unable to create Gateways when he and the other Lightsiders were planning to locate Logain.

That's kind of my point. He's going to work out a way to get around it. He can't right now--but he wants to. Thus, he's going to keep working at it until he finds a way to get out.
I think he'll ink with Pevara and be able to open one - his gateway nearly formed when he tried on his own, with the addition of saidar to strenghen it I think he'll be able to do it. The dreamspike doesn't stop all gateways, only those "not allowed" so there is a way to Travel while inside it's sphere and Androl will figure it out and get the heck out of there to let Logain know what's going on.
