Um, can we assume her parents raised her that way?

That will do her some good.
Unlike Rand, Egwene did not "go dark." I and her fans agree that she has been more or less consistent from day one. She does not need Bran and Marin to pull her back from the bring, they are the ones who gave her license to think she's the Queen of Special. Besides, this is Egwene. New Friends, Good. Old Friends...who? The latest example of this is Siuan. Silviana = New Friend; Siuan = Old Friend. Siuan is the Dickensian orphan huddled in rags in the snowy night peering in through the frosted window panes at the cheerful and merry holiday feast being set before Egwene & her current favorites. Silviana is seated at Egwene's right hand, sniffing at her boyfriend in the doghouse and flattering her domination of the Tower. Will it be any different for her parents, ESPECIALLY if they attempt to smack some Two Rivers humility into her? We've seen how she tolerates less than absolute respect from her old girlfriends from the Two Rivers. Compared to Rand's toleration of her own insolence, and his reaction to Tam, I have visions of her rethinking the abolition of the punishment cells, and warming up the torture chair the Black Hunters used if they try acting like the parents of an 18 year old who is about to marry a walking birth defect and interfere with the savior of the world's attempts to do just that.
She didnt go dark, but a little loony. And we never see much about Egwene's childhood the way we see Rand's or Perrin's. Its as if she joined Moiraine's party out of the two rivers as a headstrong girl, and suddenly became this power hungry Aes Sedai. The reasons for her disposition are not hinted to in the books. So, I am not comfortable assuming, its her parents who raised her that way.
I was just hoping her parents would tell her that she isnt acting right, but then she would first have to do something simple and straight-forward, which would prompt her parents to tlak to her in that fashion. And I now understand why you mentioned she didnt "go dark"
So, yeah, I accept the probability of a realistic sequence of actions on her part, because of which her parents giving her some helpful advice is nearly zero.
Isn't everyone in WoT re-born?

Not if it allows the Seanchan freedom to conquer Randland. I'd rather have Egwene over the slavers.

She's a short, female, youngest child of influential parents. Arrogance would come naturally to her.
