It was a let down after so much build up... DomA Send a noteboard - 08/11/2010 02:30:32 AM
It seems to be that he could have been completely edited out and it wouldn't have made a difference. It could have been just Matt and Thom and Matt could have his little escape epipfany a little sooner to get him and Thom out.

Thoughts?

Not so much his contribution at Ghenjei though, but the fact Jordan had decided to leave so much of what happened to Jain in the last twenty years one of his unresolved mystery.

The only viable candidate beside him to be the "old man" in Graendal's palace was Alsalam, and it's been made clear the Tower got Alsalam before her... so that was Jain, he was his source of info on Shara etc. But we'll never get a confirmation of that now, and we'll never know for sure why he seemed compelled to hunt the DF of Sammael in Ebou Dar (he was probably an atypical spy Graendal had picked so if he was caught Sammael would never suspect he was hers).

So all that remained was the reveal that Noal was indeed Jain, which had been obvious to almost everyone for a while now. I really expected a bit more than this.
