This never bothered me, to be honest. I always saw Rand as King Arthur-like, and with Mat having the whole hat and raven thing going on, just like Odin, its fitting that Perrin could be Thor.

It doesn't bother me either, but it does amuse me greatly. (and annoyed when the correlation is too obvious)


And Mat being Odin is enhanced even more when he gave up "half the light of the world". haha
