I like the new Rand, he reminds me of the Rand from the earlier books. He is actually reasonable again
Having said that, anyone else find the whole thing a "little" over the top? The sun comes out whenever he shows up. Tea tastes stale when he is away and perfect when he is around. He says sorry and you find yourself forgiving him even though your whole family died because of him. I have a feeling we will see him "cure" all those in the Black Tower that Taim has been giving "lessons" to. He will kneel to the Empress, but she will feel the need to kneel to him as well.
It feels like -someone else mentioned it- that Rand's transformation should have been at the end of ToM. I mean at this point, there is no hope of him being tempted by the "Dark Side" if you will, which seems to be Moridin's only goal from day 1. None of the what crazy thing will he (Rand) do next.
