Like many people, I am fascinated by the Forsaken, but I can understand that they're nothing more than mere mortals. I am not frustrated by their ignominious deaths.
However, the Shadow in WoT to me is a somewhat poorly thought-out concept. Thus I do think that every time we're giving any insight into them, the Shadow as a villain becomes more compelling.
So it was tantalising for me to read how angry she was.
I agree in that there could have been a better storyline here, or certainly a longer one.

Just had to say that I found Mesaana's disguise on Katerine really neat
